I visited Jenny's studio a couple of years ago and was in awe of the simple and elegant clarity of her work. With subtle colors and composition, she has her own approach to "still life" depiction of a range of artifacts we see every day. Her paintings of pears and blueberries are my favorite pieces of art on my walls. That is, with the exception of my own paintings which, while primitive when juxtaposed with hers, draw inspiration from them. I was also impressed with how easy it was to purchase her paintings for shipment to my home in California. I was so delighted when they arrived in tact and as promised.

Jenny’s work is vivid and captivating. It’s original and beautiful work of art in each piece. As a gift to someone it is very special and has been appreciated over and over to those I have given one to. I have had so many compliments about her art I have bought and hang on the walls of my home.

We have lived in a small ash tree forestry near Dingle, County Kerry for the past five years and I love to look at the abstract pattern of the bark on the trees. Sadly, we are leaving Dingle at the end of the year. I asked Jenny if she could do a small painting of the ash bark to remind us of our days here in Dingle. The result is magnificent! Jenny perfectly captured the intricacies of the bark in a small 10 x 12 format. It will hang in our home back in Ohio, so We can see it daily and remember the good times we had here. Thank you, Jenny!

Jenny is a most distinctive and skilled artist. There are many ways to paint, from wild & raucous to timid & sensible. There is a luminescence to Jenny’s work, a distillation of the subject matter, a clarity of purpose and a sensibility of touch. Looking at Jenny’s work I’m in no doubt of her vision, a stunning vision at that. It is pleasure to own a couple of original McCarthys and some smaller pieces gifted to others are hung with pride.
